Executive Pastor

Position Summary
The Executive Pastor serves as the primary Integrator of Connection Pointe, transforming vision into reality by leading the day-to-day operations of the church. This role exists to remove obstacles, build healthy systems, develop leaders, and create organizational clarity so the Lead Pastor can remain focused on prayer, preaching, vision, and spiritual leadership.
The Executive Pastor is a high level leader - both a spiritual leader and an organizational leader. They love the local church, embrace the work of the Holy Spirit, lead with humility and wisdom, and possess the ability to build teams that are healthy, unified, and effective.
This individual will champion the culture of Connection Pointe while ensuring that every ministry, staff member, and system advances the mission of leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus and others.

Primary Responsibilities
Vision Integration
- Translate the Lead Pastor's vision into practical strategies and measurable action
- Ensure ministries remain aligned with the mission and values of Connection Pointe
- Lead long-range planning and organizational initiatives
- Protect the culture and DNA of the church
Ministry Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the church
- Ensure every ministry has healthy systems, clear goals, and strong leadership
- Improve workflows, communication, and organizational effectiveness
- Build scalable systems that support future growth
Strategic Planning
- Help establish annual ministry goals
- Track progress toward church-wide initiatives
- Lead project management for major church initiatives including building projects
- Identify opportunities for organizational improvement
Facilities
- Oversee facility operations and maintenance
- Coordinate campus improvements and capital projects
- Ensure church environments are safe, welcoming, and excellent
- Manage vendors and major operational contracts
Leadership Development
- Identify and develop emerging leaders
- Build leadership pipelines throughout the church
- Equip ministry leaders through coaching and mentoring
- Strengthen volunteer systems and team health

Qualifications
Spiritual
- A growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ. Daily encounters with the Lord are REQUIRED, not recommended. We can’t lead on empty
- A life marked by integrity, humility, and servant leadership in all areas of life
- Agreement with the Assemblies of God Statement of Fundamental Truths
- Passion for the work of the Holy Spirit
- Fully aligned with the mission, vision, values, and culture of Connection Pointe
Leadership
- Proven leadership experience in a growing church or comparable organization
- Exceptional organizational and strategic thinking skills
- Strong communicator and team builder
- Demonstrated ability to develop leaders
- Able to lead through change with wisdom and grace
- High emotional intelligence and relational maturity
Preferred Experience
- Experience leading church staff
- Experience managing organizational operations
- Project management experience
- Familiarity with church management systems and organizational software
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent ministry and leadership experience
